We have developed multiple urinary acid/base biomarker concepts that serve as diagnostic and prognostic tools for various diseases. The applications are patented and clinically validated for chronic kidney disease, cystic fibrosis, and a gastroenterological condition. For all chosen diseases there is a significant unmet need to monitor disease progression and personalize treatment strategies to reduce disease burden. Additionally, we developed a prototype, automated instrument that measures acid/base biomarkers in human urine. This instrument is easy to integrate into hospital laboratory workflows and is both cost and time effective. We believe that our technology will benefit patients and society and has great potential as a viable investment and business opportunity.
