Ultra-Compact Micropump for Prophylactic Wound Care

We have developed a ultra-compact electromagnetic micropump that may revolutionize wearable medical devices. Our innovation addresses a critical healthcare challenge: current prophylactic negative pressure wound therapy systems are too bulky for consistent patient use, despite their proven ability to reduce surgical site infections by 44%. 

This pump achieves therapeutic pressures exceeding 125 mmHg while operating at safe voltages below 5V, making it ideal for direct integration into wound dressings. This enables truly wearable, tubing-free systems that patients can use discreetly during normal activities for the required 7-14 days. Protected by two PCT patents, our technology positions Denmark as a key supplier in the growing prophylactic wound care market, with potential partnerships already identified with leading Danish MedTech companies.
