Shifting the Paradigm in Oral Delivery of Poorly Soluble Drugs: A Recipe to Increase Absorption

We are developing a new approach to improve how existing medicines are absorbed when taken orally. Many important drugs, particularly in cancer and other serious diseases, dissolve poorly in the digestive system and are therefore not taken up efficiently by the body. This often leads to high doses, unwanted side effects, and in some cases the need for injections.

Our platform overcomes these limitations by enabling better and more reliable absorption of such medicines. By improving how much of a drug reaches the bloodstream, the same therapeutic effect can be achieved with lower doses, supporting safer treatment and better patient adherence. Over two years, we will evaluate this approach using already marketed drugs and advanced preclinical models to demonstrate its broad applicability.
