Project drescription

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a debilitating neurological condition affecting over 2.8 million people worldwide, with Progressive MS (PMS) posing a particularly difficult challenge due to continuous cognitive and neurological decline. Current treatments offer limited efficacy, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches. This project pioneers the development of the first scalable microglia-based cell therapy, harnessing the exceptional neurogenic, promyelinating, and angiogenic potential of a unique microglia subtype. Early results in animal models, including MS, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease, demonstrate remarkable promise. The ultimate goal is to develop a universal cell therapeutic capable of transforming PMS treatment and profoundly improving patients' lives.
