Program structure
SPARK Denmark follows the SPARK process and provides two types of admissions into the program.
The SPARK Process
The following figure illustrates the SPARK process, from the project idea to the completion of the program.
Types of admissions
After selecting a new SPARK cohort, each project team is invited to an intro meeting with members of the SPARK Management Team and representatives from the local universities to discuss specific mentoring activities and establish the project plan. This includes the definition of milestones and a final agreement on the associated funding support.
SPARK Denmark will provide two types of admissions into the program, differing in mentor activities and funding support, as outlined below:
Full SPARK projects
Projects are admitted for 24 months and will receive mentoring and up to DKK 350,000 per year (max DKK 700,000 per project) based on agreed milestones. Funding covers activities like animal PoC, prototyping, etc.
Prospect SPARK projects
Projects are evaluated as high potential but too early for entering the program as a full SPARK project. These projects will receive mentoring for 12 months without funding support. If agreed milestones are achieved during the first year, the project teams can apply for direct admission as full SPARK projects.
